The ANWB said that structurally more money was needed to reduce the maintenance deficit in Dutch infrastructure. The organisation was responding to the government’s allocation of additional billions for the maintenance and renewal of roads, bridges, waterworks and railways.

The ANWB said the most urgent projects should be prioritised, while sufficient funding was also needed over the long term.
