Anouk Bruges returned to IJzendijke, the village where she grew up, after spending time in England. She now lives there with her husband, Niek, and their children in a newly built home, a choice she had not previously imagined for herself but did not regret afterward.

She gave the house its own character and said that something authentic could also be created from something new.
