Anoma van der Veere became NOS correspondent for Southeast Asia, succeeding Mustafa Marghadi, whose five-year posting in Jakarta ended. Van der Veere will retain Japan in his remit and expand his work to Southeast Asia.

Mustafa Marghadi has returned to the Netherlands and is saying goodbye as a correspondent for NOS. In the podcast De Dag, he looks back on his years as a correspondent in Italy and Southeast Asia, where he was based in Jakarta. Marghadi is temporarily living with his parents in Lutjewinkel while caring for them. He also discusses his childhood in the North Holland countryside, his entry into journalism and his experiences as the child of migrants, including feeling treated as different in Italy and more accepted in Indonesia.
