Ancient cabinet with personal belongings found in Pompeii
◆2 sources
Archaeologists in Pompeii opened a nearly 2,000-year-old wooden cabinet containing dozens of personal belongings. The items included a child’s necklace with at least 24 pendants, a perfume bottle and 38 bronze coins.
The cabinet was found in rooms that are only now being examined, although the facade of the house had already been excavated in 1912.
