Amphia Hospital introduces wheel clamps for wrongly parked staff cars

Amphia Hospital in Breda will use wheel clamps from November 1 against employees who park outside the marked spaces in staff car park P4. The hospital said incorrectly parked cars can restrict traffic and cause vehicle damage. Previous warnings from security staff, notices and intranet reminders had not produced sufficient improvement.

Each violation will be recorded as an official warning. After a third warning, an employee will lose access to the car park for one week; repeated violations could eventually lead to a permanent loss of parking rights. Removing a clamp will not cost money, but the employee must contact security. Amphia acknowledged that the car park can sometimes be busy and said staff who cannot find a space should contact security for another solution or parking area.
