The municipal executive of Ameland was reported to be very disappointed by Infrastructure Minister Vincent Karremans's decision to redirect the €251 million previously reserved for improving the Wadden island's accessibility to other projects. Mayor Tytsy Willemsma was also reported to have reacted with strong dismay.
