Restaurant operators in central Almelo reportedly fear that an exceptional increase in terrace taxes in the coming years will put businesses at a disadvantage and cost them thousands of euros more. The city centre has new squares, but the hospitality sector is described as struggling to benefit from them, with customers not yet able to order coffee there.
