Adriaan van Dis spoke at Literair Café Gemert about his latest novel, Everything for the Trip, and answered questions from the audience.

In a separate report, Van Dis reflected on the final weeks and death of his partner, with whom he had been in a relationship for 38 years. He said the experience had changed how he views his own death and that, nearing 80, he prefers a gradual decline to an abrupt end.
