French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre, 78, performed at the sold-out AFAS Live in Amsterdam during the opening of Amsterdam Dance Event on Wednesday evening. He invited Dutch trance DJ Armin van Buuren onto the stage. It was reportedly Jarre’s first show in the Netherlands in ten years. Jarre’s tune “Oxygène 4”, released 50 years ago, was also played during the event. The song became more widely known worldwide than its creator, according to the account.
