Minister Vincent Karremans has made a total of €1 billion in additional funding available for the new Merwede bridges near Gorinchem. He had already provided an extra €500 million this spring. The additional funding is intended for the second Merwede bridge, a new viaduct and the approach to the ‘palenweg’ at Sleeuwijk, reportedly to prevent further delays.
