The Bibian Mentel Foundation organized a walk in The Hague from the Malieveld to the House of Representatives to draw attention to the reimbursement of leg prostheses. Together with a group of people who use leg prostheses, the foundation sought to present a petition for improved prosthesis care to Sophie Hermans, the minister for Health, Welfare and Sport. The foundation said that basic health insurance currently reimburses one leg prosthesis, which it considers insufficient. It called for at least three prostheses to be reimbursed, saying that people need more than one.
