A teenager from Arnhem was acquitted of the attempted murder of a boxing-school operator in Almere Buiten on Christmas Eve 2024. The court found insufficient evidence that he was the shooter. His phone had registered at the same five locations as the getaway car at the relevant times, which led police and prosecutors to conclude that he had been involved. The driver of the car has since been convicted of driving the getaway vehicle, but the court did not consider the evidence against the teenager sufficient.
