The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) reported after an investigation that hundreds of thousands of households and businesses have electricity-grid connections that are heavier than their consumption likely requires. Such connections cost more than standard connections, and the regulator said customers may be able to save substantial amounts by using a suitable connection.
