An 85-year-old man was seriously injured around midnight in a collision between a car and a pedestrian under the viaduct on Parnassusweg in Amsterdam-Zuid. He was resuscitated at the scene and taken to hospital, where he was in critical condition. The 30-year-old driver from Amsterdam was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The police investigation is ongoing.
