2026 Omarm Prize awarded to Raad is Daad, Noordjes Schrijflab and De Groene Kans

The 2026 Omarm Prize was reported to have been awarded in Hal West for the 12th time to initiatives addressing poverty and unequal opportunities in Amsterdam. The main prize went to the foundation Raad is Daad, which helps residents navigate rules and authorities, including digital municipal services. The awards were presented by juror Trijntje Oosterhuis and alderman Araya Sumter, with founder Özlem Bayar accepting the prize for Raad is Daad.

Noordjes Schrijflab won in the equal-opportunities category for children and young people. The Amsterdam-Noord initiative offers children and young people a place to write, draw, meet makers and develop their own voice. De Groene Kans was also named a winner for its work against food waste and its neighbourhood activities, which bring about 500 residents together each week at different locations in Amsterdam.
