The SGP tabled a motion of censure against Care Minister Sophie Hermans during the debate on the Health, Welfare and Sport Ministry budget. The party objected to her continuation of a trial involving abortions between 22 and 24 weeks of pregnancy, which several hospitals want to provide.

The motion, submitted by SGP MP Diederik van Dijk, makes SGP support for the cabinet’s budgets and tax plan less likely.
