Parents of 14-month-old Linea said her toe bled for more than two hours while the family waited for emergency care. They said they were told the injury was not an emergency and felt abandoned because no one helped them. The injury was later found to be an open fracture requiring four stitches. The parents said the experience continued to trouble their young family, particularly the lack of assistance while they waited.
