Eindhoven faces scrutiny over sharing data on vulnerable children

Eindhoven is reported to be continuing to share privacy-sensitive data on children from vulnerable families across the region with youth protection authorities without parental consent, despite facing a possible fine. The city council has chosen to continue the practice. The Eindhoven opposition is seeking clarification from the municipal board about how the protective table operates and its impact on families in the region. The national privacy watchdog, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, is also seeking clarification from the municipality.
