BBB senators condition support on dropping nitrogen plans

Defence Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz called Russia the Netherlands’ enemy during a House of Representatives debate on the defence budget, saying she no longer wished to use the term aggressor. She cited threats including sabotage, drone attacks and other incidents in Europe. Reports said the change in wording did not entail a policy change, and that the Netherlands is not at war with Russia. The Russian embassy requested clarification.
