A 45-year-old man from Zeewolde was sentenced to three years in prison for raping his 14-year-old neighbour on 25 September 2024. The court found that he had also hidden the girl from her mother after she ran away following an argument at home. He admitted taking her into his house but denied the rape and child-pornography allegations; the court rejected his account, including his explanation for his sperm being found in her underwear.
