Wendy van Veldhuizen, 52, from Lippenhuizen, has been reported to be one of only a handful of people in the Netherlands with a rare, hereditary and progressive retinal disease. Her vision is steadily deteriorating, and she may eventually become blind. She says she can no longer see the emotions on her children’s faces.
