Voices for Women presents study on women’s misdiagnoses

Voices for Women is presenting a study involving 5,000 women who, it says, went years without a diagnosis or received an incorrect one. Three women—Mirjam Kaijer, Antoinetta Schutrups and Maaike van Schaik—are sharing their experiences after what they describe as years of medical rejection. Kaijer had a tumor, Schutrups said her symptoms were not caused by stress, and Van Schaik said her condition was linked to an autoimmune disease rather than her medical history.
