Three mopeds were destroyed in a fire on Burgemeester De Vlugtlaan in Amsterdam's Slotermeer district at about 1.30am. The fire spread from a microcar parked beside them.

While firefighters were dealing with that fire, a scooter caught fire about 100 metres away on Burgemeester Fockstraat. It was extinguished quickly and damage was limited. Police are investigating whether the fires were deliberate, whether they are connected, and whether they are linked to other recent incidents in the area.
