Utrecht cuts aid for sex workers seeking to leave the industry

From 2027, Utrecht will halve the number of municipally subsidized exit programs for sex workers. The opening hours of the Information and Advice Centre will also be reduced, and outreach workers will be deployed less often. The measures are intended to deliver structural savings of €350,000, while the municipal executive warned that problems among vulnerable sex workers could be identified later and waiting lists could grow.
