A court in Breda sentenced a 51-year-old man from Tilburg to prison after finding sufficient evidence that he had raped his daughter’s 15-year-old girlfriend. The man, Gerard V., denied touching the girl.

In a separate case, 35-year-old B. van N. from Tilburg was convicted of throwing a glass at his girlfriend’s head in May. He claimed that she had smashed the glass herself, but images showed what had happened. He received a suspended sentence and community service.
