A minor and an 18-year-old man from Alkmaar were arrested after allegedly taking money and jewelry from an 81-year-old woman in Heiloo while posing as employees of the security region. The woman had been called at home by someone who asked whether she had valuables and said a colleague would come to photograph them.

Two people later arrived at her door and said they would photograph the valuables in their work vehicle, but they instead left on a scooter with the items. The woman called police immediately and provided a description that reportedly led to the arrests soon afterward.
