A Rotterdam judge sentenced 40-year-old M.K. to one year in prison, including four months suspended, for raping a 17-year-old girl who had run away from a closed facility in Sliedrecht. The judge reportedly said it was troubling that M.K. saw himself as the victim. In a separate case, a boy who was 14 or 15 when the offences took place appeared before the Rotterdam court. He was accused of involvement in an explosion at a house, an armed robbery, a violent robbery, and possession of a gun and knives. The case was described as involving seven offences in total.
