Warm late-summer weather was expected to continue until the middle of the week, with cool mornings and possible fog. From Thursday, the weather was forecast to change, bringing rain and falling temperatures. By Friday, rain, strong winds and extensive cloud cover were expected across the Netherlands. Some parts of the country also faced a chance of thunderstorms later in the day.
