Traffic-light intersection replaces Lelystad station roundabout

The roundabout in front of the provincial government building in Lelystad was replaced by an intersection with traffic lights. The work was completed and the intersection reopened to traffic on Friday afternoon, earlier than the planned opening later in the month. The change was intended to improve traffic flow and safety after frequent minor collisions and congestion at the roundabout. Traffic from the Stationslaan and Visarendreef can now use the intersection, and buses are given priority. Botter 15, one of the four roads at the intersection, remains closed, with no access in or out.
