At least two people were arrested during a large-scale traffic control on Liberation Road in Sprang-Capelle. Police officers and customs staff checked drivers for alcohol and drugs and impounded a car occupied by two construction workers, who had to remove their tools and equipment before it was taken away.

A woman was arrested after repeatedly trying to get back into her car and leave despite warnings. One report said she probably tested positive for alcohol and drugs. Another driver tested positive for drugs and was taken to a police station for further testing.
