The Netherlands committed €15 million this year to support Syria’s reconstruction. Minister Sjoerd Sjoerdsma, responsible for Development Cooperation, announced the funding at the World Bank’s annual meeting in Bangkok.

One report said the government also hopes the support will encourage Syria to cooperate with the return of migrants.
