The first Winnie-the-Pooh book by British writer A. A. Milne marked its centenary. The stories about the bear and characters including Piglet, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore, Rabbit and Owl remain popular.

The forest in England associated with the stories continues to draw tourists from around the world. The owner of the Pooh Museum said they hope the museum will remain in operation for another 100 years.
