Flooding and hot shower water reported at rental home in Uithoorn

Tenant Joël said his rental home on the Gasperilaan in Uithoorn had been flooded several times after a leaking pipe in a cupboard next to the toilet. The cold-water supply was shut off to prevent further damage, and he said that only water between 50 and 60 degrees Celsius was coming from the shower. He feared this was unsafe for his children. Joël said the laminate floor, which had recently been laid after an earlier leak in June, was ruined and had to be removed. He was concerned that he might have to pay the costs himself and said he was making almost daily efforts to have the problem repaired. Other residents on the street were also reported to have complaints.
