Tayfun Özcan, a 35-year-old kickboxer from Tilburg, reportedly returned to the ring on Saturday night after a break of more than a year. He had lost two consecutive matches, stopped fighting and seriously considered ending his career.

He won his comeback match in what was described as an exciting and hard-fought contest. Özcan said afterward that he had shown that age was only a number.
