Stefan Tax, a lobbyist for family businesses, called for the Netherlands to address both box 3 and inheritance tax. He questioned how many billions, lawsuits and civil servants would be needed before box 3 was acknowledged as a failure, and said years of repairs, calculations and disputes had made the tax increasingly complex while citizens paid the cost.
