The film Elsinore, starring Andrew Scott and Olivia Colman, received a standing ovation at its premiere at the London Film Festival on Wednesday evening. The festival opened with the fact-based film about actor Ian Charleson, who played the leading role in a new National Theatre production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet in the late 1980s while he had AIDS.
