South Holland’s policy has expanded the number of possible large construction sites outside existing towns and villages in an effort to build more homes faster. Provincial states want locations in Barendrecht, Bodegraven-Reeuwijk, Goeree-Overflakkee, Waddinxveen and Zuidplas included in a study that already covers more than 20 other places.

The locations are being considered as part of that study; no decision on construction at the sites was reported.
