More and more homes in Southeast Brabant have one resident, with single-person households accounting for half of all households in Eindhoven and one in three outside the city. Family homes remain the norm, although housing has mainly been built for families for decades, making the shift increasingly difficult.

The number of homes with one resident has reached 150,000, according to the account.
