Amersfoort councillor Shohreh Feshtali is leaving the city council’s Group for Freedom, which retains two seats as a result. Group chairman Tom van Lamoen said contact with Feshtali had been impossible for a long time. Feshtali has not attended a council meeting since being sworn in in April. She has said she will explain her absence at next week’s council meeting.
