Seven-year renovation planned for Hogewey-Midden in Weesp

The municipality of Weesp is set to begin a seven-year renovation of the Hogewey-Midden district next week. The 1960s neighborhood will receive new paving, playgrounds, green spaces including a Cruyff Court, and a replacement sewer installed by Waternet. The work is planned to start with preparatory work on Rue de Waatz, which is scheduled to continue until February 2029, before moving to other streets in stages to limit disruption.

Residents will be unable to park on streets where work is taking place, while waste collection will change and temporary ramps and walkways will be installed. The project is currently expected to be completed in April 2033, although the schedule may change.
