US authorities raided the home of Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar on Monday. Reports said Fox News sources linked the search to a criminal investigation into possible fraud involving immigration documents from her childhood, allegedly completed by her father.

The Justice Department had not publicly stated the reason for the search, and Omar had not responded at the time of reporting.
