Safe Home said that thousands of people have to wait too long for help after reporting domestic violence or child abuse. It urged people who are worried about themselves or someone else to discuss the situation with someone they trust or contact an emergency service.

Safe Home said it could be contacted anonymously by phone at 0800-200 or through an anonymous chat. Children can contact the Child Phone at 0800 0432 by phone or chat. In case of immediate danger, it advised calling 911.
