Residents of Broerweg in Nijmegen said that, for several months, people had been reserving parking spaces with pawns, chairs or parasol bases. Parking remains free on their street, while some nearby streets have introduced paid parking, leading drivers who would otherwise have to pay to park on Broerweg instead.
