Raymond van Barneveld’s place at the World Darts Championship remains uncertain. He needs to earn prize money in the remaining events to qualify for the tournament. At the Euro Tour event in Basel, Van Barneveld lost 6-3 to fellow Dutch player Maik Kuivenhoven in the first round. The defeat reduced his opportunity to earn prize money in one of the final Euro Tour tournaments of the year.
