A court sentenced a 27-year-old man from Ede to eight years in prison and a TBS order with compulsory treatment for 11 offences committed between August and October of the previous year. They included the attempted manslaughter and repeated rape of an 87-year-old woman after he broke into her home in Ede, as well as the assault of a 34-year-old woman near Bennekom, an assault involving a 16-year-old girl and several thefts. The prosecution had sought 13 years in prison and TBS.
