Preparatory work for Le Five in Lelystad scheduled to start in November

Preparatory work for the Le Five residential project in Lelystad’s Theater Quarter is scheduled to start in November. The development on Waagstraat is planned to include 247 sustainable homes. Construction fencing and the first materials are already in place, which means short-term and disabled parking spaces opposite Basic-Fit will disappear. Visitors can use paid parking at Stadsbalkon Noord, where additional disabled parking spaces are planned before the end of the year. The cycle path along De Waag will remain open, although construction traffic may cause inconvenience.

Parking garage De Waag will remain accessible until temporary access has been completed. The municipality of Lelystad and developer Heutink Groep are working on a new access route, which still requires a permit. The planning is not yet final, and the garage may be closed for several days while the new routes are built. The municipality and developer aim to put the temporary access into use in spring 2027.
