The ice rink in Vaassen is at risk of disappearing after about 130 years under new plans for the town centre. The municipality wants to make room for parking spaces, leaving no place for the rink. The skating committee has expressed disappointment, while residents have started a petition that has gathered more than 2,500 signatures. Political parties are also asking questions about the plans.

The rink’s future remains undecided.
