Several political groups in the House of Representatives called for a minimum amount to be attached to the compulsory internship allowance the cabinet plans to establish by law for students in vocational, higher professional and university education. The call emerged during an education debate. Education Minister Rianne Letschert had announced in July that she intended to introduce the legal requirement, but had not specified a minimum amount. The minimum therefore remains under discussion.
