Police check of fatbikes in central Amsterdam

Police checked 52 fatbikes and five mopeds during a traffic operation at the junction of Vijzelstraat and Reguliersdwarsstraat in central Amsterdam. The operation focused on fatbikes, though other vehicles could also be checked. Police issued 41 fines and ordered 10 fatbike riders to have their bicycles’ speed increased, according to the police’s Centrum-Amstel team. The reports did not specify the violations involved.
