A new podcast, ‘Kerkstraat Noord-Holland’, follows maker Arend de Geus as he visits Kerkstraten across the province, from Alkmaar to Zandvoort, to examine their atmosphere, history and local character. The podcast is part of the series ‘Windstreken van NH’ and features conversations with residents, people working in the streets and others, including a guide to Alkmaar’s Grote Kerk and an archivist discussing the city’s development.

The series was available from 15 October on Spotify, the NH website and app, and other major podcast platforms. De Geus said he had about 50 Kerkstraten on his list and prepared as little as possible, allowing conversations with people he met to shape each episode.
